Community Contributions

CEO OF Sherwood HR Consulting, Kandice Sherwood, is often out and about making contributions to various community efforts! Recently Ms. Sherwood attended FEMA training to expand her role as a volunteer disaster service worker overseeing Spontaneous Volunteers and Donations, participated in a Martin Luther King Beach Clean Up celebration, served on the CERT team, which was engaged in a canvassing efforts during the Naples flood season on Naples Island, and was Co-speaker with a Business leader at during a leadership development program.


City of Long Beach “Country Club” Award

Kandice has been an active supporter of the Country Club Annual Event and other community affairs through financial donations, volunteerism, and serving members by providing complimentary resume assistance and review, interview preparation, and career advice. Her efforts to support the Country Club community were recognized with a Community Award at the 2017 Event.


Volunteerism and Supporting the Arts

Whether it is supporting a local Certified Emergency Response Team (CERT), helping pass out water at a citywide marathon, or just showing up at outdoor concerts and pancake breakfasts, our CEO believes in community and plays a role in supporting community endeavors.  

She has also donated her time professionally by serving as a board member for Leadership and Human Resource affiliates/groups, which has included speaking at events and conferences, mentoring students, supporting FEMA training and drills, and leading efforts to enhance community awareness about earthquake response/preparation efforts. 

When it comes to the arts, our CEO supports local theaters through seasonal attendance, and a portion of the profits from Sherwood HR Consulting will be donated to non-profit organizations, including those that further the arts . Previous financial contributions have supported adult programs and classes and programs for youth focused on providing free and affordable arts enrichment programming for children of all ages through several summer conservatory programs.
